Q: What kind of leather do you use?
A:
Unless otherwise stated, our belts are crafted from Hermann Oak® vegetable-tanned, full-grain cowhides from the USA. Hermann Oak® is one of the few remaining tanneries producing leather in the USA, practicing environmentally responsible tanning methods.  We use this leather for our belts, some leather bracelets, watchbands, and keychains.

For pouches, shoulder bags, and wrist wallets, we use heavyweight Italian garment leather.

Q: Do you do custom work?
A:
Sorry, no.  I supply only what you see on the website.

Q: How long will it take until you ship my order?
A:
Your online order will be filled promptly if it is already in stock; however, if the item you ordered is not in stock, we will create it from scratch. We would therefore complete it in the order in which we receive it, so it may take up to two weeks before your order is ready to ship.

Q: Where’s your store? Can I visit you there?
A: We do not have a brick and mortar store.  We sell online and at Craft Fairs.

Q: How do I take care of my new Handmade'n Leather accessory?
A:
Saddle soap, found at most grocery stores, shoe stores, and shoemakers, is great for cleaning the leather, preserving it, and restoring its luster.  It comes in a can similar to shoe shine cream.  Follow the directions and repeat if needed.  Regular applications will help preserve the finish and extend the life of the leather.  Avoid using on suede, rough leather, and metal items such as buckles and snaps.
